Benefits

Serve As A Jr. Board Member

As an administrative intern, personnel will have the opportunity to work directly with the program director, and staff members. Selected interns will also have the opportunity to serve as a Jr.Board member alongside a 501(c)(3) Non-Proft board.

In-Field Training

Receive hands-on experience within the arts and entertainment industry from multiple perspectives including, business, artistry, and logistics. Interns are provided the opportunity to network and work directly with professionals currently operating within the industry.

College Intern Credit

Interns are eligible to receive official college internship credits for working during a specified term within our internship program.

Requirements

  • Enrolled or entering a Bachelors or Graduate program at a fully accredited college or university

  • Music Education, Business or Industry program

  • Age: 18+

  • Musical background preferred but not required

  • 10-12 hours per week

  • Strong organizational, time management and communication skills

  • Proficiency with Apple/MAC, Google Suite, Microsoft Office is required

Overview

Synergy is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to innovate, inform and inspire students of the arts. With percussion education being our foundation, we have evolved into a program that exposes our student’s to the music industry, the various job opportunities within it and provide them with resources that will further prepare them to achieve.

We are looking for an administrative intern who has a passion to empower young artist and musicians within their community and abroad. This position requires multi-tasking skills and the ability to work independently. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills are required and attention to detail is vital. Demonstrated agility to shift direction in response to changing work situations is critical.

  • Interns will provide administrative and office support for our staff.

  • Administrative support includes creating and maintaining databases, researching and compiling data, proofreading and editing.

  • Publications, website updates, and other projects as assigned.
