About The Event
Synergy Network Conference is a two-week conference, where students collaborate with industry professionals to develop, sharpen, and cultivate a variety of skills preparing them to pursue careers in the music industry.
Overview
​
CULTIVATING SKILLS: To strengthen techniques pertaining to percussion and drum set styles; to broaden perspectives on other industry related careers such as music production and engineering, while understanding the significance of applying synergism.
​
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: Students will be placed in an environment where the importance of building character is emphasized. Students will learn skills such as entrepreneurship, artist development, financial literacy, and exclusive insight on securing careers in the music industry.

MENTAL HEALTH: Research proves there are many psychological benefits of music. Extra curricular music activities, when executed in a healthy environment, cater to mental health by reducing the stress, anxiety and depression for young students.
​
COMMUNITY OUTREACH: Provide students with activities that place them in a positive, structured and secure learning environment. Students who view their academic environment as positive, meaningful and productive are less likely to be involved in serious delinquency and risky behavior.

COURSES
Symphonic & World Percussion
Drumline
Explore classical and global rhythms with our Symphonic and World Percussion courses, covering orchestral instruments like snare, timpani and mallet percussion, as well as diverse cultural instruments such as djembe and congas.
This course focuses on mastering the precision and energy of drumline performance, honing skills in cadence execution, rudiments, and ensemble synchronization crucial for captivating marching band shows.
Drum set
Students will gain an overall understanding for various styles of music (Jazz, Rock, Funk, R&B, Latin styles), the difference between hybrid and acoustic drumming, as well as how to prepare for a live show.
Music Production
Enhances the students understanding of various Digital Audio Workstations or "DAW", styles (Hip-Hop, R&B, Pop, Electronic), sound design and mixing. In addition, students will have a clear understanding of producing vs. beatmaking and how to facilitate the industry as a producer, collaborator and networking.

Synergy Network Showcase is the premier event for Synergy Network Conference 2024, taking place June 27, 2024 at Palm Beach State College. The event will consist of live masterclasses and panel discussions from the music industries top professionals. Attendees will be able to interact with an array of vendors in music education, live & studio audio and event technology. The event will conclude with a showcase performance featuring Synergy 2024 students and guest artist.
